Benefits

DLS Engineering offers a highly competitive, rich benefit package. Our package covers immediate needs, including medical/dental/vision benefits, as well as more future-based needs, such as a retirement savings plan. Because we value our employee's continued growth, we also offer tuition reimbursement. Most benefits are effective the first of the month following the employee’s first 30 days of employment. The following is a brief description of company benefits.

Medical Care

DLS Engineering offers Employees health care plans from which to select the best personal care and coverage. As with all our benefits, employees are eligible for coverage the first day of the month following date of hire. The medical program is designed to pay a percentage of the usual customary and reasonable expenses after an annual deductible has been met. There is a stop loss feature which means that after "out of pocket" expenses for covered expenses have been met, the insurance program will then pay 100% of the cost.

Dental and Vision Care

DLS Engineering offers group Dental and Vision insurance to all full time employees. The coverage will become effective the first of the month following full time employment. The insurance provides for an employee co-payment for most covered services after the deductible has been met. The Company participates in deferring the Dental premium costs for the employee only.

401 (K) Retirement Plan

Employees may defer pre-tax dollars, up to the allowable limit under current law.

Flexible Benefits

The Flexible Benefit Plan is a tax advantage plan for qualified employees through Section 125 of the Internal Revenue Code.

The plan provides the employee with the "Insurance Premium Conversion before tax" benefits. By participating in this plan, employees are able to reduce their federal and state income taxes and FICA tax buy reducing their taxable salary.

Short-Term Disability Insurance

Short Term Disability is designed to partially replace lost wages if an employee is unable to work. DLS Engineering pays the premium for this employee benefit.

Long-Term Disability Insurance

Coordinated with the Short-Term Disability coverage, Long Term Disability typically is available after 90 days and designed to partially replace lost wages if an Employee is unable to work. DLS Engineering pays the premium for this employee benefit.

Group Term Life, AD&D Insurance

Through DLS Engineering's carrier, a designated beneficiary may receive the equivalent of $50,000, in the event of Employee's loss of life due to illness or an accident. DLS Engineering pays the premium for this coverage. An employee may obtain additional Life Insurance for him/her self and/or spouse at 100% premium cost to the employee.

Educational Assistance

DLS Engineering supports continuing education to enhance employees' skills development and project management for future business growth. To encourage professional development, DLS Engineering offers 75% reimbursement merit, up to $1,500 per year, on courses leading to a job related degree or for enhancement within their particular job skill, after completion of one (1) year's service.
